Welcome Autumn & Goodbye Summer

We have become stock car racing fans. It is a fun hobby that introduced us to the Dukes of Hazard Hilo style. We love it so much we hope to each race in the new season starting in January. Here is a shot of my two boys at the last race.

We had a quick, busy trip. We are so grateful for all the friends and family we were able to see and hug, but we know we missed A LOT of people. Hopefully we get a longer stay next time.

Hollis Turns Two!

A little late, I know, but having a two year old has left me looking for extra time to blog. I finally found it while at work, "working" on cleaning my classroom. Hollis is such a smart, fun kidlet. He is developing his imagination, often playing with his trucks and dogs. Hollis is talking a lot more now and making us laugh with his spunky personality. These pictures are from his second birthday and beach weekend that followed. Hollis loves the beach and will ask to go to the beach.

Hollis a joy in our lives. It is amazing how quickly two years have passed, yet it seems like Hollis has been with us all along. We enjoy our time together and look forward to the birthdays to come.

Our trip to California

The wondeful LA zoo. I had an experience making eye contact with a large gorilla through a thick piece of glass. Amazing. It was so fun to see Aunty Dina, Aunty Tricia and little Michelle. We walked for 5 hours, through rain and sun. What a great day!

It was a whirlwind of flying and driving, with a nice dose of family. We had so much fun, despite the quickness of the trip. Hollis was a trooper, even with an ear infection. We cannot wait for our next adventure.
